Privacy-first core tools
Invoices, estimates, receipts, customer information, timesheets, saved businesses, preferences, uploaded logos and drafts are processed and stored locally in your web browser. FreelanceKit does not require registration and does not intentionally transmit document contents to our server. Generated files are created in the browser.
What local storage means
Browser storage is tied to the device, browser profile and site origin. Clearing browsing data, private mode expiry, device loss or changing browsers may delete your records. It is not encrypted by FreelanceKit and is not an online backup. Export your own backup regularly and protect it accordingly.
Files and imports
Uploads are read locally for rendering and processing. JSON imports are limited in size and validated. Uploaded logos are constrained by format and file size. Do not assume that a shared device or untrusted browser extension protects local data.
Hosting logs and network connections
Our hosting provider may collect ordinary access logs such as requested URL, IP address, browser information and timestamps for site delivery and security. We do not intentionally include client names, invoices or invoice contents in URLs or analytics events.
Advertising and affiliates
Live advertising is disabled until a legitimate publisher ID and any required privacy/consent mechanisms are configured. If advertising or affiliate links are introduced, this policy will be updated with vendor details and region-appropriate controls before those integrations are activated.
Your control
You can export your records, edit them or delete all FreelanceKit local data using the Workspace backup section. This does not delete server access logs held by the hosting provider.
